The Magic Stick Akbar Birbaal Story- Once upon a time, in the kingdom of Akbar, the king was sitting in his palace when a former came to visit.
The former mentioned that some gold was missing from his house and he believed that some of the laborers who had been working there were the thieves.
Akbar was very concerned and asked Birbal to investigate the matter. Birbal went to the former’s house and spoke to him in detail about the laborers.
The former friend praised the laborers and said that they were good people.
Birbal then asked the former friend to bring all the laborers to the court the next day.
The next day, all the laborers came to the court and Birbal gave each of them a stick. He told them that they should bring this stick with them the next day.
He also said that if anyone had stolen the gold, their stick would grow three more inches in length.
The laborers were very confused but they did as Birbal had said.
The next day, Birbal checked all the sticks and he found that one of the sticks was shorter than the others. Birbal asked the laborer with the shorter stick to come forward.
The laborer was very afraid and confessed that he had stolen the gold. He had cut three inches from his stick so that it would not grow longer. Birbal ordered the laborer to be taken to prison.
Akbar was very impressed with Birbal’s clever plan and asked him how he had found the thief. Birbal revealed that there was no magic in the sticks, they were all normal sticks. The honest laborers had done nothing to their sticks, but the thief had cut three inches from his stick to escape suspicion.
Akbar was amazed by Birbal’s intelligence and he praised him for his cleverness. The laborer was punished for his wrongdoing and the stolen gold was returned to its rightful owner.
And from that day on, everyone knew that Birbal was the wisest man in all the land.
