Jack Tree As Witness – Akbar Birbal Story in English:-Once upon a time, there was an old man who came to Akbar’s royal court looking very sad.
Akbar, who was the emperor of the land, asked the old man why he was so upset.
The old man told the emperor that he had saved all his money and gold in a box and had entrusted it to his friend while he went on a pilgrimage with his wife.
When he returned, his friend refused to hand over his savings.
Akbar was very angry and summoned the old man’s friend to the court. However, the friend denied ever meeting the old man before.
Akbar was confused and asked Birbal, his wise minister, to take charge of the case. Birbal spoke to the old man privately and asked him where he had given the box to his friend. The old man told Birbal that he had given the box to his friend under a jackfruit tree.
Birbal then asked the same question in front of the court, and the old man once again said that he had given the box under the jackfruit tree.
Birbal then ordered the old man to bring the jackfruit tree as proof. The old man looked confused but followed the order and went to bring the tree.
After some time, there was no sign of the old man’s return.
The old man’s friend looked relieved, but Birbal asked him why the old man wasn’t back yet.
The friend said that the old man’s land was far away, so it would take some time. Finally, the old man returned and said that he had asked the jackfruit tree for help, but nothing had happened.
Birbal then told the court that the jackfruit tree had come and proved the truth. Everyone was stunned, and Akbar asked when this had happened. Birbal replied that it was through the friend’s mouth. The friend had initially said he didn’t know the old man, but later, he had correctly mentioned the jackfruit tree’s location, which meant that he did know the old man.
The court members, Akbar, the old man, and his friend were all stunned, and they looked at Birbal in awe. Finally, Birbal ordered the arrest of the dishonest friend and gave the gold box to the old man. Everyone in the court exclaimed and praised Birbal for his clever solution. The old man was happy to get back his savings, and justice was served.
