Akbar Birbal Persian Lion story in English:-Once upon a time, there were two great kings – Akbar and the Persian king. They were the best of friends and loved exchanging gifts.
One day, Akbar was in his royal court when he received a message from the Persian king. It said that he had sent a gift for him through his servants.
After a while, a Persian servant arrived with a golden lion inside a cage. He said that it was the gift for Akbar.
Akbar was delighted to see the gift and asked the servant to open the cage and show him the lion. But the servant replied that it was a closed cage without any opening.
The Persian king had heard of Birbal, the clever minister in Akbar’s court. He had also heard that Birbal could solve any puzzle.
So, the servant told Akbar that if Birbal could take out the lion without touching the cage, then he would have won.
Akbar thought it was a good challenge and asked Birbal to solve the puzzle. Birbal went near the cage and examined the lion.
He then asked the king to bring a blacksmith with a hot rod.
When the blacksmith arrived, Birbal took the hot rod and touched the lion through the cage.
To everyone’s surprise, the golden lion melted and came out from the cage liquidly.
The Persian servant and Akbar were amazed. Birbal then said that it was not a golden lion, but a wax statue of a lion painted gold. He had smelled the wax and solved the puzzle.
Akbar was overjoyed and exclaimed that the Persian servant should go back and tell his king that this was a valuable lesson.
From that day on, everyone in the court knew of Birbal’s cleverness, and he continued to solve puzzles and amaze everyone. And the friendship between Akbar and the Persian king grew even stronger.
